Tarim .. the mosques town

by: Abdullah salim Bakhuresah.
(Really, it is a museum in opining air)
according to sentence above one of historians started his speech, when he visited Tarim town, which meets you with its wonderful mud houses and the humbly of its people, they became very happy when they see coming visitors.

Tarim is one of hadhrmut famous town as well as Shibam and Siyon. The historians are disagreed in date of appearance, some said: (In fourth century-BC), but others said: (It is established during the Shiba rule of hadhrmut).
The location of Tarim is in north east of Siyon town in hadhrmut valley, the population is about(100617), also considered as one of the religious town, it was an out standing center to those who want to study Islam from all over the world.
They said Tarim has about(360)mosques, but this number is very surprising with town size, are number of these mosques began subtracting because some of small mosques were combined in one big mosque, but others think that the mosques are still increasing because of the growth of several doctrines, so doctrine build mosques for their followers such as sufiah, sunna and salafia.
The mosques are divided into two kinds, the new built mosques are built in anew design which differs from the old one. the old design depends on intial materials and the roof depends on big cylindrical pillars with curved shapes around, that makes it looks so beautiful.
We can find that some mosques has no minaret, but some other has and the unique minaret built on mud is Al muhdhar that the tallest mud minaret in the world which is (175 foot) long and it was built in(1333H).
Al-muhdar minaret has given Tarim a deeper degree in the world culture.
